NOTD: Revlon Parfumerie "Ginger Melon"

LOVE the colour of this! :) However the formula leaves something to be desired - it's jelly but streaks. Never really experienced anything like it?.. You can't really see it in the photo but I can definitely see it! Maybe I need to do 3 very thin layers next time? The formula is also very quick-drying so it became a bit hard to apply after about a minute.

This is 3 regular layer without top coat. It smells a bit like spicy honeydew melon?.. Maybe? I know these are gimmicky retro polishes but I so totally love them all :)

I have been out in the garden a lot lately and so here are some beautiful photos of my new spring bulbs! Spring is finally here!!

Rimmel Sweetie Crush "Sherbet Sweetheart"

I interrupt my Revlon Parfumerie infatuation with more of my sugar texture infatuation :) I am still not over sugar textures... Which is good cause Rimmel brought out some in the spring offerings :) While everyone is swooning over their Rita Ora collection I was stalking for their Sweetie Crushes. And spent some more Boots Advantage Points!

This is 3 coats without top coat over my Bourjois base coat. I did 2 coats but I wondered if it might be a bit more punchy with 3 coats but you can definitely get away with just 2 coats!

Not looking forward to soaking this off but it looks sooooo awesome :D Hello spring!!! Now if I could only get my hands on the Nicole by OPI Roughles collection as well...

NOTD: Revlon Parfumerie "Lime Basil"

Today is my very first wedding anniversary! I was dying to try one of the new Revlons and I first thought I would do "Ginger Melon" but the draw of "Lime Basil" was too great. Can't resist a green!!

This is 2 coats over base coat with no top coat as I want to see what it smells like when it dries properly. I can already smell a hint of 7-Up or Sprite, quite yummy! Or is it a bit like the Dettol Lime & Mint spray, perhaps?.. I like it anyway :) It's got a bit of a thick yet runny thing going on so you need a base coat you can trust and a steady hand to apply it. I found 2 thicker coats was easier than 3 thinner coats.

Love the colour of this polish :D It's like somewhere more sumptuous than mint green?.. I am so in love with these polishes so far, best Boots Advantage Points spent in a long time!!

EDIT: Unfortunately the smell didn't last thru my morning shower!

They're here - Revlon Parfumeries!

I got my hotly anticipated polishes today - woohoo! I am not sure which one to try first, but I think it will be "Ginger Melon"! :D

NOTD: NYC "Midtown" with accent nail

I decided I wanted something graphic and bright so I did this luscious pink with a black and white accent nail :) I used a coat of Rimmel LycraPRO "Urban Princess" under 2 coats of "Midtown" as it's quite sheer and I wanted a more punchy pink. I then did the accent nail using Sinful Color "Black on black" and white dots with a nail art pen. Awesome! :) Just in time for cheering me up as the cold and wet weather is set to return tomorrow...

WANT IT WEDNESDAY: Revlon Parfumerie nail polishes

The Revlon Parfumerie polishes are finally here!! They are also included in the 3 for 2 on select Revlon cosmetics so I used my Boots Advantage Points to get myself 3 of these babies for less! Hopefully on Friday I will have these and can look forward to fragrant fingers for a week :)

Get yours in Boots or online on Boots here!

NOTD: Collection Hot Looks "Ninja"

Tomorrow is St Patrick's Day so I decided to do the greenest nails I could for no particular reason other than it's St Patrick's Day :) I love the colour of this polish but the quick dry formula can cause the brush to overload and make it a bit patchy. The brush isn't the greatest either. But for the modest price you pay for it, it is awesome :) This is 2 coats with a slick of Sally Hansen MegaShine top coat.

I am hotly anticipating the release of the Revlon Parfumerie polishes this week and I'm hoping come Wednesday I will have one to show you :)

NOTD: Rimmel LycraPRO "Peppermint" with abstract nail art

So I found a photo of a really cool manicure at Nuthin' but a nail thing and though I'd try it - but I started off boldly not using a dotting tool for the black dots, just the striper, haha... Big mistake... :) Anyway. I used the lovely Rimmel LycraPRO "Peppermint" for the base, this is 2 thickish coat. I then used a Color Club nail art striper and a dotting tool to make the black lines and dots. Then I used a generic squeezy, dual ended white nail art polish for the small white dots (squeezy bottles with nibs are great for small precise dots). You have to make sure the dots aren't too 'fat' or they won't dry down properly. I then watched a whole episode of "Ultimate Survival Alaska" before I put on base coat (1hr), as these nail art polishes ALWAYS smudge if not completely dry and the top coat is put on with 3 swift moves! Love it! :) Gonna have to try this again.

NOTD: Sinful Color "Forget Now" with Maybelline "Speckled Pink"

I love a hot pink glass fleck :) "Forget Now" will be a brilliant summer polish with tanned fingers! I decided to Easter it up a bit with Maybelline's "Speckled Pink" from their UK Polka Dot collection. I did 3 coats of "Forget Now" and sealed it with MegaShine top coat. For the accent nails I did a coat of Rimmel "Funtime Fuchsia" because the Maybelline is so sheer, and then did a doctored layer of "Speckled Pink" with a good layer of MegaShine top coat. Very spring like and will definitely cheer me up tomorrow morning when I have to go to work again after a nice weekend just chilling out and doing gardening :)

REVIEW: Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I'm a bit late to the party here but I went off micellar waters early on in the craze after trying something out of a beauty box which was pretty much just a skin-irritating toner! Lately I picked up on this beauty on various blogs and decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did - it's amazing! It is very gentle but manages to remove my eye makeup very easily (I wear long-wear concealer, waterproof cream shadow/khol but normal mascara) and all of my face makeup (apart from Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation - only a precleanse followed by cleansing oil melts off that stuff...) I put on too much on a cotton pad once and it went into my eye... No sting :) I love the plump bottle as well, it's very cute. I am very pleased with this purchase indeed!

It retails at £4.99 which is really decent for a 400ml product but you can seemingly find it for a bargain in Savers most of the time.
