NOTD: Barry M Gelly "Mustard"

So the new A/W14 fashions are dropping into the shops, and of course, the A/W14 makeup is starting to pop up as well - such as the new Barry M Gelly colours! I am currently sitting with the window open listening to the rain outside and really feeling the autumn vibe coming on - my favourite season :)

When I saw them on display today it was really hard to choose one of these Gelly colours (it's 3 for 2 on all Barry M in Superdrug at the moment). I had another couple of Barry Ms I'd wanted for a while that I bought but I think I am going back for another 3 from this collection!!

This is 2 coats without top coat. It doesn't self-level as much as I'd like to start with, but it has settled more with a slick of Seche Vite. I love the colour!! It's grungy and mustardy but I love it. Totally autumnal.

Can't wait to get my mitts on "Cardamom", "Paprika" and possibly "Chai" as well... :) Check out nice swatches for them all here at BritNails and Imagination In Colour (I take no responsibility for buying splurges as a result).

900TH BLOG POST!!!

Woohoo - my 900th blog post :D I decided I indeed needed something special for the occasion, and the gorgeous super-sparkly blue of Butter London's "Airy Fairy" was just the ticket! I did 3 coats for full opacity and slicked on a coat of Seche Vite over the top to seal in the sparkle! I must apologise profusely for the state of my cuticles; I have spent the last week wild camping in a tent on Isle of Skye so they have not had their daily doses of hand cream I'm afraid!

Now I am going to have a Margarita to celebrate my 900th post, and here's to at least 900 more!!!

A midge-net is a must on holiday in Scotland!!

Phew! Some recent NOTDs

I've been SOOOO busy lately and this weekend my parents were over for my best friends wedding so I got very little done apart from showing them around the town! But I did do my nails to match my dress for my friends wedding but then forgot to photograph them until the day after :( This is 2 coats with a slick of Seche Vite.

My mum brought me some Isadora and Depend nail polishes from Sweden which was totally awesome so I decided to put on the intensely pink and aptly named "Power Pink" from Isadora tonight to brighten the deluge of rain we're having!! I then decided I needed to bling it up a bit.. Quite a lot actually. It's 2 coats and a slap of sparkle! :)

I did like the regular Baby Lips from Maybelline so when I heard they were bringing out 'neon' versions of them in America I did hope they would eventually make it to the UK :) And they are finally here! You can get them in both Superdrug and Boots; as usually I've seen these first in my favourite Superdrug and they are Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price just now in Superdrug.

I did some swatches too but they didn't come out very well :( I can't wait to wear these, they both look awesome!
