NOTD: Pink and orange ombre manicure

I've had an idea for this for a while but finally decided to go for it. I used 2 coats of Rimmel LycraPRO "Urban Princess" for the pink base, the sponged on Misa "Speed of Life" then Rimmel 60sec "Sunshine" for the gradual 'sunset' look. I think it turned out quite well! :)

I have another mini review for you today again - Garnier Ultimate Blends The Marvellous Transformer shampoo and conditioner. I must admit it hasn't really done much for my tresses... My hair is still kinda frizzy, dry and dull. I suppose you should also use the hair oil in the same series with the shampoo + conditoner but that's a tenner I am not inclined to spend now that I've tried these... But I like the smell of this, not too overpowering but it lingers nicely! It's just another cheap-ish drugstore shampoo+conditioner combo for me, and I think I will return to my Tresemme Keratin Smooth 7 Day System soon instead. Which reminds me that I still have to post that review :)

OPI announced their Coca Cola collaboration on Facebook today, and there aren't an awful lot of swatches out there yet (their PR department needs to work a bit harder!) but I am already completely in love with "Green on the Runway" - it looks like it could be a grass-green version of China Glaze "All Gussied Up"!!! Can't wait til this collection launches in June.

NOTD: KBShimmer "Oh Splat!™"

I really wanted something really happy today and this was just the ticket! :) It's one of my few 'indie' polishes I have. It has a few copies but none look just like this! This is 2 coats and a slick of Seche Vite, the formula is trickier than I remember but works when you get into it.

I also have a mini review for you as well, Piz Buin Ultra Light Dry Touch Face Fluid. It's a suncream but with a fancy new formula. I have been wearing this every day this week and it looks and behaves great under makeup AND it hasn't given me spots :) It is 'dry touch' indeed and looks a bit matte. I chose the higher factor as I will likely be outside a lot during this summer for work so I need to make sure I am protected. This is also on offer in Boots just now for a bargain £6!

NOTD: Seventeen Juicy Neons "Orange"

Phew, it's been a while! Lots of new stuff to be excited about but just no time! This time of year is always so busy with ecological surveys and gardening... And I started a new job! :)

Anyway I saw another one of this offering off chance on Geordie Nails while surfing around and I needed these, of course. These are all very sheer, this is 2 coats but if you are sensitive about VNL, wear these as I have, with cropped nails. Or stick them on top of a white or matching creme. I decided to wear it just with 2 coats to make it a bit more, dare I say, juicy?... and my goodness it's definitely neon! :) I love how has that hot neon colour AND the glassfleck shimmer to it. I also have the green, so I will do that later on this week I think!

There are 3 different kinds - the Juicy Neons, the Crushed Foils and Off the Wall Metals. These are all Limited Edition and Seventeen is currently on a 3 for 2 in Boots so if you want some of these, hoof it down to your local Boots now!

This is some of the stuff I've been doing since I've been absent....

NOTD: Depend "191"

I felt like a really green polish tonight so when I found this gem rummaging through my Helmers I was delighted! I'd forgotten about it, but obviously loved it when I bought it because I have two bottles already... I had to do 3 coats because it is deceptively sheer! I topped with a slick of Seche Vite to dry the 3 layers down quickly so I could go back to playing Elder Scrolls Online... Which is all I've been doing really since last Tuesday apart from working :) naked nails for a week, why I never...

I saw these 'Cupcake' polishes from Kiko - I love the look of them but I cannot bear parting with £5.95 for UK postage!!! That's just extortion :(

NOTD: Revlon Parfumerie "Ginger Melon"

LOVE the colour of this! :) However the formula leaves something to be desired - it's jelly but streaks. Never really experienced anything like it?.. You can't really see it in the photo but I can definitely see it! Maybe I need to do 3 very thin layers next time? The formula is also very quick-drying so it became a bit hard to apply after about a minute.

This is 3 regular layer without top coat. It smells a bit like spicy honeydew melon?.. Maybe? I know these are gimmicky retro polishes but I so totally love them all :)

I have been out in the garden a lot lately and so here are some beautiful photos of my new spring bulbs! Spring is finally here!!

Rimmel Sweetie Crush "Sherbet Sweetheart"

I interrupt my Revlon Parfumerie infatuation with more of my sugar texture infatuation :) I am still not over sugar textures... Which is good cause Rimmel brought out some in the spring offerings :) While everyone is swooning over their Rita Ora collection I was stalking for their Sweetie Crushes. And spent some more Boots Advantage Points!

This is 3 coats without top coat over my Bourjois base coat. I did 2 coats but I wondered if it might be a bit more punchy with 3 coats but you can definitely get away with just 2 coats!

Not looking forward to soaking this off but it looks sooooo awesome :D Hello spring!!! Now if I could only get my hands on the Nicole by OPI Roughles collection as well...

NOTD: Revlon Parfumerie "Lime Basil"

Today is my very first wedding anniversary! I was dying to try one of the new Revlons and I first thought I would do "Ginger Melon" but the draw of "Lime Basil" was too great. Can't resist a green!!

This is 2 coats over base coat with no top coat as I want to see what it smells like when it dries properly. I can already smell a hint of 7-Up or Sprite, quite yummy! Or is it a bit like the Dettol Lime & Mint spray, perhaps?.. I like it anyway :) It's got a bit of a thick yet runny thing going on so you need a base coat you can trust and a steady hand to apply it. I found 2 thicker coats was easier than 3 thinner coats.

Love the colour of this polish :D It's like somewhere more sumptuous than mint green?.. I am so in love with these polishes so far, best Boots Advantage Points spent in a long time!!

EDIT: Unfortunately the smell didn't last thru my morning shower!
