I've got a bunch of hard work for art class to do so early morning for me. Not so for the kitty though! Oh to be a kitten...

NOTD: Bloom "Kate"

First off I have to tell you about my Garra rufa, or Doctor Fish, pedicure! It was just as cool as I anticipated it to be when I saw this video! The little fishies nibble off bits of dead skin off your feet, leaving them smooth. The sensation is a bit weird, almost like little vibrations as they suck up the skin... They can't really tackle the rock-hard bits at your heel but they sure do good work getting in between your toes. However as it's expensive (£1/min, but we had a Groupon coupon) I'd probably only do it once for the novel experience.
So onto today's NOTD, "Kate". This pastel blue polish is what I wanted Barry M "Blueberry Icecream" to be... This is 2 perfect coats with MegaShine top coat. No streaks! Which is rare for a pastel polish. Gorgeous, I can't wait to try the mint green version (the name escapes me) I also got from Bloom :)

NOTD: OPI "Teenage Dream"

Woah! This is one seriously sparkly polish! :) This is 2 coats with China Glaze FastForward top coat. It's still quite gritty but it doesn't matter. I really struggled to photograph this polish, this shows the base colour accurately but doesn't show you just how bling-a-ling it is! It has different size glitters in it and a nude pink-beige base colour. It's fairly quick-drying so making more coats than 2 shouldn't be too much of a struggle...
I've been busy tidying my house today and found some really cool polish I've not tried yet so hopefully by end of week I will have some cool NOTDs for you all!

NOTD and Katy Perry minis!

Yes, I knoooow... I've been kinda inactive lately and I do apologise! I love doing my blog but sadly I have redundancy-related paperwork to deal with at the moment (yes, I am under threat of redundancy AGAIN) so I am not getting a lot of extra time in the evenings. Anyway enough of the crap stuff! I got an 'overdue' Xmas and birthday pressie from The Weebie today, see above! I wanted to get these so I was exstatic to find it was part of my pressie! Thank you the Weeb! :) Now I need to top these beauties in her overdue wedding/Xmas/birthday present... :/
I've got a formal occasion tomorrow so sadly no NOTD with the Katy Perry's today - it is the old trusted China Glaze "Innocence". This is 2 coats with quick-dry top coat. I can't lose with this polish; it's sheer without the streaks and light nude pink without the overly white finish. This bottle is almost finished so might need to look into getting another one. Re-purchasing nail polish?? Me?? Unheard of until now surely!
I promise I will put a more exciting NOTD on tomorrow night - gotta go to see my bank manager on Saturday to upgrade my bank account so I might need a bit of "Teenage Dream" to keep my spirits up...

Escape to the country...

Despite reports of snow and gale-force winds we went to Bennachie. The weather was gloriously sunny even though it was indeed crisply cold and windy! I am presently recovering from the '3 peak challenge' on the sofa with the kitten watching 'Star Wars IV: A New Hope' and a Red Delicious apple! :) Life is good... Also see bonus of cute fluffy kitten video found in my archives. Amazing how Elvis was once so small, he's a real large bruiser now and it was only a few months ago :)

NOTD: Nails Inc Diet Coke Exclusive "Heather Grey"

I had a lovely weekend in York and even squeezed in a trip to IKEA and got myself some Swedish food and furniture :)
And I managed to get "Heather Grey" from the Diet Coke exclusives from Nails Inc! I tried to get away with one coat here as I was in a hurry to do my nails, but it's not as opaque as "Denim"... This is still 1 coat with no top coat but my index finger is a bit thin towards the edge of the nail.
I love this colour with it's cool mauve-grey hue :) I haven't really got any dupes for this. Essie "Angora Cardi" is a lot warmer and more rose than mauve. I'm going to take a photo of this in daylight as I think this may be slightly warmer than it is in real life.
I'm off to watch the repeat of "Alice" on Syfy, as I missed the first episode!
