REVIEW: L'Oreal Roll-On True Match "Rose Vanilla"

I saw the advert in a magazine and I thought - "what the.." I was sceptical, but when Superdrug had a decent offer on, I decided I needed to try it! If you are apprehensive about the roll-on part - don't be! It is lovely and soft to use, and does literally glide over your face. I'm doing a lot of painting in the house just now with paint rollers, so maybe that's why I get on so well with this foundation! So lets break this thing down..

Application ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Once you start using it you will be able to apply it in less than a minute to your entire face. Just make sure you don't overload the roller, and roll over any tidelines to blend away. It also works for angles like around your nose and mouth, just tilt the roller to fit the angles!

Colours ♥ ♥

Even with a very "average" skin tone and colour, I found it hard to get the right shade. I chose "Rose Vanilla", a cool rosy ivory, I will not be able to use this if I get even slightly tanned.

Packaging ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Slimline case with the roller neatly inside. The back can double up as a mirror if you're short of mirrors!

Formula ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Smooth to apply, medium coverage. Looks satiny on and lasts all day, but can rub off on clothe/mobile phone so be careful!

Overall, I am very pleased! I will wear this for a couple of weeks and get back to you on how it works in the long term. So what do you think - Gimmick or glamour gadget?

I've not heard of this type of delivery for the foundation. It really sounds interesting. I use mineral makeup so I don't use this type of makeup. You must just like rolling on paint!

I've been using this for about a month now. I think it's a very good foundation. It's totally fool-proof, the only thing you can do wrong, is chosoe the wrong shade. Other than that it's amazing, both for day and night use. The coverage is buildable and it glides smoothly on your skin. I was very skeptical at first but OMG now I totally recommend this!
