I spent most of yesterday afternoon doing acrylics, and this is the first results, not great but not too bad! :) Camera ran out of battery after these photos, but now have to practice my hands 60 times for the final exam so plenty more opportunity to photograph some finished acrylics :)
Today I worked on my tan while catching spiders in St Cyrus Nature Reserve in Scotland. The day ended with a freak intense hail storm, but it was very warm and sunny for the most part. Here I am shaking the tree to get spiders to fall out of the hawthorn tree onto the plastic sheeting and then I suck up the spider and put them into pots with that bit of plastic tubing :)

You have to explain this whole sucking up the spider process, Lina-Elvira...
First, Why?
Second, do you suck on the tube with your mouth? *shudders*
How big are these spiders?
Why would you do this on purpose? =]
Oh and the acrylics look great from here!

If you get any thrips or weird insects in with your spiders, you could send them down to me and I'll sequence their DNA ;)
Monica - yes I suck it with my mouth, this particular one has a little bit of gauze on one end to stop the spider getting up into the sucking tube. I collect spiders for identification for habitat surveying. And some of them are pretty big!! :)
Farmer G - thanks! :) I caught a massive Ruby tiger moth as well - very nice! But I let him go after I'd established what it was :) However, had 4 ticks on me to pick off when I got home :(

Glad you gave an explanation Lina-Elvira. Thought maybe you were trying to get rid of the spiders. Your acrylics look pretty darn good to me. Good luck.
